The Chinese flooring producer Jiangsu Beier Decoration Materials Co., Ltd, also known as BBL, has now launched products with Liteback® sustainable core technology for resilient flooring.
As announced earlier this year BBL, Välinge Innovation licensee since 2008, extended the cooperation with Välinge by adding Liteback® technology to its product range. Since then, BBL has implemented Liteback® into the production and displayed products at both Domotex in Hannover, and Surfaces in Las Vegas.
“We saw a high interest from customers at Domotex and Surfaces which resulted in our first orders, and expect and see an even growing interest as sustainability, ergonomics and transport efficiency are all in people’s minds”, says Field Shaw, the general manager of BBL. “To be able to offer products combining these benefits will increase our sales on most markets”.

Producing products with Liteback® has now put BBL at the frontline as a sustainable company with a greener product range. This new position opens up new markets and customer groups to the company’s products.

About Liteback®
Liteback® technology enables material to be removed from the core of resilient floorings, thereby reducing the weight of the final product with up to 20%. All handling of the product thus becomes easier and more efficient: from delivery out of the production unit to the time of purchase and during installation by the final user. The production process involves the use of a grooving unit to mill grooves on the backside of the floorboard. The material that is removed in the process is recycled back into the production process, thereby reducing material consumption with up to 20%. Typically the same savings can be done in transportation with up to 20% less impact in freights and corresponding CO2 savings.
