Conducted at the end of 2025, the survey captures a market that is becoming more balanced, but also more demanding. Many respondents expect more stable conditions, while highlighting continued pressure from costs, competition, trade uncertainties and changing market dynamics.
At the same time, there is a strong sense of direction. Across markets, companies see opportunities for growth and are focusing on improving product performance, increasing efficiency and strengthening long-term competitiveness.
Performance and efficiency take centre stage
One of the clearest signals from the survey is the growing importance of performance-driven innovation. Companies are prioritising solutions that improve durability, simplify installation and ensure reliable results over time. Faster and easier installation systems stand out, reflecting both efficiency demands and challenges linked to installer availability.
Water resistance, material efficiency and overall product performance are also high on the agenda, showing how expectations are rising across both resilient and wood-based flooring.
Sustainability moving from ambition to proof
Sustainability remains a priority, but expectations are shifting. It is no longer enough to set ambitions – companies are expected to demonstrate measurable progress. Documentation, traceability and third-party verification are becoming essential, linking environmental performance more closely to credibility.
At the same time, regulation is accelerating this shift, making sustainability a core part of product development and business strategy.
