Välinge welcomes Europe’s flooring leaders for successful MMFA event
Välinge Innovation recently welcomed members of the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association (MMFA) to Sweden for the association’s annual event, bringing together around 80 representatives from leading flooring manufacturers and suppliers across Europe for three days of networking, knowledge exchange and industry insights.
Hosted by Välinge, this year’s event took place in southern Sweden and featured a comprehensive conference programme, including networking activities showcasing the local area and a visit to Välinge’s headquarters in Viken, just outside Helsingborg, home to one of the industry’s largest R&D centres.
MMFA is one of Europe’s leading associations for multilayer modular flooring and represents many of the sector’s most influential companies. The annual event provides an opportunity for members to explore market developments, emerging technologies and key trends shaping the future of flooring.
“It has been a privilege to host this year’s MMFA event and welcome so many industry colleagues to Viken,” says Niclas Håkansson, CEO at Välinge Innovation. “The strong participation from across Europe reflects the value of bringing the industry together to share perspectives and explore future opportunities.”
For decades, Välinge has been at the forefront of innovation within flooring and furniture. Founded by inventor and entrepreneur Darko Pervan, the company transformed the flooring industry through the invention of the world’s first mechanical floor locking system, laying the foundation for modern click flooring. Today, Välinge continues to develop technologies that improve products and production processes for manufacturers around the world.
Hosting the MMFA event reflects Välinge’s position as a leading innovation partner within the global flooring industry. Through a full factory tour and live technology demonstrations, attendees gained first-hand insight into the company’s ongoing investments in research, development and future technologies.
“The industry continues to evolve, creating new opportunities for innovation and product development,” says Håkansson. “Events like this play an important role in bringing the industry together and shaping the ideas and technologies that will define the next generation of flooring.”
