Välinge Innovation, a global leader in flooring technology, has entered into a new agreement with its licensee Zhejiang Kingsun Building Material Technology Co., Ltd (Kingsun, part of Kingdom group) to utilise Välinge’s patented solution for the new generation of edge solution in resilient flooring.
Välinge Innovation has a long track record of pioneering technologies that have contributed to shape the flooring industry. As early as 2008, the company introduced its Solid Edge technology, enabling formed bevel edges with superior durability and visual quality in laminate flooring. Building on this foundation and expertise, Välinge has now extended its offering into resilient flooring with a new generation of edge technology.
Based on a precision-engineered in-line process, the technology enables the creation of pressed bevel edges on both long and short sides of flooring panels. Designed for high production flexibility across various panel formats and materials such as LVT, SPC and WPC, it also ensures accurate shape control and the formation of durable solid edges. This combination results in flooring products with enhanced aesthetic appeal and improved edge performance, contributing to a more premium and realistic floor appearance.
