Threespine® ID is Välinge Innovation’s newest addition to their portfolio of market-leading click furniture technology. ID, launched earlier this year, has received a great amount of interest from the industry and the company has already signed license agreements with several influential European furniture producers.
Välinge’s innovative Threespine technology makes furniture assembly incredibly fast and easy with solid and durable results – every time. With the introduction of Threespine Core, Välinge revolutionized the way people assemble furniture. With this year’s launch of Threespine ID, the company has further broadened its offer.
Threespine ID uses inclined dowels and is based on the industry’s traditional drilling methods which makes it easier to implement the technology in both design and production. This is one of the main reasons why Threespine ID has attracted so much interest right from the start, and why several influential companies have already become licensees.
“With Threespine, furniture can be assembled with a click. No tools and no extra fittings are needed. Disassembly and reassembly are just as easy, making this technology perfectly fit to meet the industry’s changing needs and demands,” says Ola Kronvall, Sales Director Furniture at Välinge Innovation.
The furniture industry is expected to experience major changes in the near future. There’s increasing interest in more durable and more user-friendly products, as well as the introduction of new environmental standards and a growing need for more circular processes.
In May, FORTE signed on to use Threespine ID in its furniture production. Based in Poland, FORTE is one of the leading and most influential ready-to-assemble furniture producers in Europe, with high-quality products available in stores around the world.
“I am convinced that by joining forces with an innovation leader such as Välinge, together we can provide better solutions both to our customers and consumers,” says Maria Florczuk, President of FORTE. “The possibility to conveniently dismantle the furniture extends its lifecycle and facilitates recycling which is another big step towards one of our most important goals for the upcoming years – sustainability.”
Another new licensee that appreciates how Threespine ID enables more sustainable production and products is Dansani. Based in Denmark, Dansani is a premium bathroom furniture producer and supplier known for conscious design and timeless Scandinavian style.
Hammerbacher, based in Germany and known for innovative office solutions, is now using Threespine ID technology for their FlexWall cabinet system.
“ID is just what we have been looking for. Both assembly and disassembly are really easy which suits our vision of creating intelligent and flexible furniture perfectly,” explains Christoph Hammerbacher, Managing Director at Hammerbacher.
Effortless assembly and more efficient production also attracted new licensee Home Concept which is based in Poland and offers a variety of home furnishings in consciously selected raw materials. For Romanian-based Nett Front, Threespine ID is the ideal solution to take its furniture production to the next level and strengthen its offer with unique and easy-to-assemble furniture. Kilim Furniture in Turkey chose Threespine ID for its resourceful properties. Since adopting the technology, Kilim has experienced valuable cost and time savings in both production and assembly.
“We are very pleased to already have several new Threespine ID licensees to introduce and are currently working on formalising a number more,” says Välinge’s Ola Kronvall.
